More than fifty people attended last Friday, June 17, the free training day on the criminal responsibilities of legal entities held at the restaurant La Cucanya.

The event, organized by Gestingral and the Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Cadena SER, was attended by Gerard Llobet, Councilor for Urban Planning, Housing and Environment of the Vilanova City Council, who was in charge of inaugurating the session.

The first round table was attended by Amadeu Pujol, administrator of Gestingral and president of the Garraf delegation of the Chamber of Commerce; Rafael Martínez, a specialist in compliance-criminal prevention at Zenit Abogados; and Jaume Perelló and Iñigo de Ros, experts in taxation and criminal law, respectively, from the Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira law firm.

The speakers highlighted the importance of compliance-criminal prevention programs today to prevent administrators and companies from being convicted of crimes committed by a worker, as currently provided for in the Criminal Code. In this sense, the four guests recalled that occupational risk plans “do not offer sufficient guarantees” in the face of this new wording of the law and encouraged employers not to take “unnecessary risks”.

Three creatives of international prestige

After this first round table, a second group of presentations was held aimed at “How to sell more and better”. This second session of the day was attended by Oscar Pla, creative director of Publi&Gest; Xavi Garcia, founding partner and creative director of Clackson, and Jacinto Espinosa de los Monteros, creative director of SER Catalunya.

Throughout the presentation, Oscar Pla and Xavi Garcia explained how they created well-known campaigns such as “The packaging where you go”; the anti-smoking advertisements starring Johan Cruyff in the early nineties or the famous Airtel commercial “Hola, soy Edu, Feliz Navidad”.

For his part, the creative director of SER Catalunya, Jacinto Espinosa de los Monteros, highlighted the benefits of radio advertising. “The best advice is that you always highlight what differentiates you from the competition,” the three speakers agreed.

Free lunch and networking

Once this second round table was over, it was time for a lunch with networking completely free of charge for speakers and attendees, who were able to exchange cards and resolve doubts in a more relaxed atmosphere.

After the success of this day, the organizers are already working on a new free training day for the autumn.
