From 1 July, it is mandatory to register all short-term rentals in a single, state register. We explain why it will be necessary to be part of this register and how it works:
Who does it affect?
The measure is mandatory for all accommodation for tourist use, seasonal accommodation and rooms and even boats used for this purpose.
What does it consist of?
Any rental of a short-term home will have to be registered and it will be necessary to obtain an identification number without which it will not be possible to advertise on the platforms (Booking, Airbnb, Expedia, Vrbo, etc.).
Are there any exceptions?
- The registration does not affect hotels or similar accommodation, such as aparthotels, hostels, campsites or rural tourism houses that offer additional services to the simple stay.
- Seasonal rentals (more than one month), such as renting rooms for students or temporary jobs.
Do I need to renew my ID number every year?
No, but it will be necessary to submit an informative form on an annual basis.
