Do you live on rent? Well, you’re in luck, you know, don’t you? And it is that today you can still benefit from significant deductions for this concept in the Income Tax return. In this article by Gestingral we explain it to you.

The Treasury, as it already did with the purchase of homes, has eliminated all discounts for rents… signed (the date is very important) from January 1, 2014! What does this mean, for practical purposes? That all people with a lease contract prior to that date are still entitled to the deduction in this year’s Income Tax.

Along the same lines, all people who have extended or renewed a rental contract signed before 2014 are also entitled to receive the same discount… and continue to live in the same apartment. In both cases, the law establishes (this has not changed) that the tenant cannot earn more than 24,000 euros per year to be able to enjoy the deduction.
